The mismatched pair.

"...Huh?" was the first reply from Gen, then she frowned. So, their only way back was now gone, and there was a possibility of another Digimon nearby. Great.

"IF WE CAN FIND A TRAILMON STATION, WE CAN GO BACK," Drac suddenly blurted out. Now that was a good news, despite not knowing what this... 'trailmon' is.

"Where's the nearest... er, station?"

"A COUPLE MINUTES WALK OVER THAT-A-WAY," He pointed to the direction where the Unicorn-like Digimon was.

"...Isn't there a safer way?"

"WELL, THERE'S ONE ON THE OTHER SIDE, ABOUT THREE DAY'S WALK TO REACH IT THOUGH."

"...Right. Let's try to go past that strong Digimon and look out for that other Digimon that broke the TV." She said to Verronica before walking back the way they came from. Drac followed, mutering something about how Gen was bossy and such.

I started walking at a fast pace. "We might want to stop every now and then. We also might want some water." I said. I thought about how this world could change. Labramon ran ahead to scout out the area.
I was kinda happy that we had some good news. But, something kept bugging me. I knew we ahd to stay. We had to help these digimon. But how? Everything is stopping us from completing this task. I just kept walking, then got a slower pace, then even slower.

"Well, If we reach the Station first, I'll think about getting water." Gen replied, high on alert for any approaching Digimon. Around about here was where that Unimon was... and that other Gotsumon, she suddenly remembered. They had only taken care of one of the two Gotsumons, so that rock Digimon could be anywhere if it woke up.

Unlike her worries, however, she soon spotted the unmoving body of the Gotsumon. So it hasn't woken up yet! but that meant that the Unimon could also be around...

Looking at her D-Terminal, she could only see the dots of the four of them - Labramon, Verronica, Drac and herself - and the red dot of that Gotsumon over there.

"Well, looks like we'll reach the station soo-" Gen broke off suddenly as she saw a red dot coming in range to the D-Terminal's screen. It approached rapidly towards where the four of them were.

"Damn, we're found. Let's move before that Unimon catches up!" She called out, to which Dracmon nodded and led the way.

"You guys too," Gen called out to Verronica as she ran after Drac; she knew they weren't fast enough to avoid the incoming hostile Digimon, but at least this'll lead them closer to the station.

I stretched as quickly as I could. I used to be on a track team. I quickly dashed off at a mild pace. When I see that digimon, I will be at my full flegded pace. I quickly caught up to Gen and Dracmon.
I looked back. There was a raging horse flying towards us. It was faster than I thought. I motioned to Gen to use every muscle in her body. Then, I was running for my life. I sped quickly. My pace was wide and strong. Hopefully, the digimon wouldn't annihalate all of them. Just as that thought finished, the horse digimon landed. But, it was still running. I got an idea. "Hey, Gen! We should stop and grab on to the mane. It seems like the digimon is heading the direction we need to!" I said.

What Verronica was saying wasn't totally a bad idea; the Unimon was, in fact, heading the same way because, well, it was chasing them. The problem was would they be able to actually grab onto that Digimon?

Unlike Gen, Drac instantly reacted by suddenly stopping and getting his claws ready. He aimed for the perfect opportunity, then jumped... and managed to grab onto the incoming Unimon.

"GOTCHA! NOW GEN, YOU T- WOAH, H-HELP!" Drac's eager voice suddenly changed to desperation as he realized how stronger Unimon was as it started thrashing the moment Drac hold onto him. Drac held on for his dear life, calling out Gen's name over and over, the panic in his voice rising.

"...Why do I feel like a babysitter suddenly?" She muttered, before approaching the thrashing Unimon to help out her partner... somehow.

"Here, I got it!" I said. I stopped and got on to the Unimon. I pushed down on a point behind the ear. The Unimon's head thrashed up, then lowered. I figured horses can be controlled by different points in the body.
Labramon jumped, but then almost got wacked by the legs. He tried again, this time, I caught him. I shoved him up on the back. The Unimon was still heading the same way. I reached my hand out to Jen, and the Unimon slowed down quite a bit.

For once, Gen was impressed by her fellow tamer; she had tamed the fearsome Digimon!

Getting on with Verronica onto the Unimon and sitting the small Dracmon on her lap so that all four of them could fit, she spoke to Verronica.

"Alright, let's go to the station. Then we'll be home."

"IT'S NOT THAT FAR, AND NOW WE'LL REACH IT IN NO TIME!" Dracmon said after Gen's words.

"Cool, then hold on." I said. I pressed harder on the ear spot and the Unimon flew faster. I was kinda happy at my success, seeing that Gen actually was kinda happy at what I did.
We arrived at the station. But there was a huge problem. The station was old and busted, the windows were cracked, the doors were busted down, and a sign in the window said 'out of businness, RUN!'. I was down. Labramon growled and started sniffing.

"...Care to explain, Drac?" Gen snapped at her partner, seeing the state of the station. He shrugged.

"IT WAS ALREADY LIKE THIS WHEN I WAS DROPPED OFF BY A TRAILMON," He said. "THERE IS A SINGLE TRAILMON THAT TRAVELS THIS TRACK WHENEVER. THE THING IS, I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHEN THE NEXT ROUND IS."

"...Great, so now we have to wait for a train that might or might not come, with what, a hostile digimon possibly preying upon us."

"YOU GOT A BETTER IDEA?"

"...hm. Hey Verronica, any ideas?" She called out at the fellow Tamer.

I looked inside. I couldn't really see. Then I remembered my flashlight. I pulled it out. Then, Gen asked the question. I turned around and looked at the Unimon. "Well, we could use the Unimon to travel to the other one, which will take 3 days, or we can wait here for the train and that might take an hour. Your choice. but I am checking out the place." I said.
I turned back around. I turned on my flashlight. The place was way bigger than I expected. I walked further in. The place was really long, too. Like in length, not width. I kept walking till I heard a loud groan. I stopped and then kept walking. My flashlight revealed a Trainmon slowly evaporating into data. I was shocked.

Gen stayed outside the station while Verronica checked, looking at the train tracks that stretched to the horizon. Would it be better to go to the next station that was roughly three days away? Now that they had the Unimon, it might be a nice idea; they just needed to find some water and food for the journey.

Her thoughts went back to the black ring she had on her hand now. This was another thing that she wanted to research into, but only if she went back home, really. So the first priority was to survive and go back, huh...

Pocketing the black ring into her hoodie pocket, she called out in the direction of the station.

"Found anything interesting, Verronica?"

I stepped back. I heard the echo of Gen's voice. "Yeah, hurry, get in here!" I called out. Labramon sniffed the digimon. "What happened here?" Labramon asked. The digimon rolled his eyes till it came upon us. "I think, well, I think I was hit by a flying horse with red eyes. Not-urgh- like that unimaon. It had a black ring on it, and I couldn't see all the details before it hit me." He explained.
